Referrals
- Abnormal blood counts where there is concern they may have leukaemia
- Unexplained and persistent swelling of lymph glands
- Symptoms of spinal cord compression. These symptoms include pins and needles, numbness or weakness of legs or difficulty passing urine or stools
- Unexplained bruising or bleeding
- Unexplained anaemia
- Drenching sweats, extreme fatigue and weight loss that is unexplained
- Splenomegaly which is unexplained
- Back pain, associated with an elevated ESR and blood test have shown the presence of a paraprotein
- Pain or itching induced by alcohol
