 Symptoms of spinal cord compression. These symptoms include pins and needles, numbness or weakness of legs or difficulty passing urine or stools
 Unexplained bruising or bleeding
 Unexplained anaemia
 Drenching sweats, extreme fatigue and weight loss that is unexplained
 Splenomegaly which is unexplained
 Back pain, associated with an elevated ESR and blood test have shown the presence of a paraprotein
 Pain or itching induced by alcohol
